Find the content opportunities your competitors are capturing.
Kleos compares your site's Google rankings with your competitors', shows the searches they win and you don't, with the provider's numbers and dates, and puts the one you pick on your content plan in a click.
How does Kleos find content gaps?
Kleos pulls the Google rankings of your site and your competitors from DataForSEO in your market. A gap is a search where a competitor ranks in the top 10 and you're absent or below 20. Each one shows search volume, keyword difficulty where available, the competitor's ranking page, your closest existing page and the date of the data.
You give it websites
Your website (Kleos already knows it) and up to 10 competitors, depending on your plan. Kleos suggests the competitors it already knows about.
Kleos looks up rankings
It fetches what each site ranks for in Google in your market from DataForSEO. Rankings it fetched in the last 7 days are reused at no cost.
Kleos finds and groups the gaps
Searches where a competitor is in the top 10 and you're absent or below 20 are kept; brand, job and login searches are dropped. Close variants are grouped into one opportunity, with your closest existing page beside it.
You pick
Save an opportunity as a planned article on your calendar or in a campaign in one click, or mark it “not for us”.
Example
What you get, shown on an illustrative business
This example is illustrative: the business, people and figures are made up to show the format of what Content gaps produces. It isn't a real customer's result.
Example data · illustrative business “Ledgerline”, a made-up invoice-approval tool, against two made-up competitors
Opportunity: invoice approval workflow · 3 searches · 2 competitors rank
| Search | Searches a month | Difficulty | Competitor page that ranks | Your position |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| invoice approval workflow | 1,300 | 34 | rival-a.example/guides/invoice-approval-workflow (#3) | Not in the top 100 |
| invoice approval process | 880 | 29 | rival-b.example/blog/approval-process (#6) | #41 |
| multi entity invoice approval | 90 | Not available | rival-a.example/features/entities (#8) | Not in the top 100 |
Source line, as the app shows it: DataForSEO Labs, Google United States, data as of Oct 24, 2026. “Not available” is shown where the provider has no figure; Kleos never estimates one.
One click: Add to plan → a planned article on your blog schedule, or inside a campaign you pick. Or “Not for us”.
What it does
- Shows every number (searches a month, difficulty, cost per click, positions) as DataForSEO gives it, with the date of the data.
- Shows the competitor page that ranks and its position, and your own position if you have one.
- Matches each opportunity to the closest page on your site, so you can improve a page instead of writing a new one.
- Says why each opportunity is relevant to your buyers (an AI judgment of fit, never a number).
- Saves an opportunity to your calendar or a campaign in one click.
What it doesn't do
- Estimate or invent numbers: where the provider has no figure, it says “not available”.
- Track rankings daily or audit backlinks: it's a gap analysis, not a full SEO suite.
Content gaps on each plan

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Competitors per analysis | 3 | 5 | 10 | 2 | 2 |
| Analyses a month | 2 | 6 | 20 | 1 | 1 |
Each website looked up (yours and each competitor) also counts as one search researched from your plan's allowance. Rankings Kleos fetched in the last 7 days are reused at no cost.
Questions about Content gaps
Where do the numbers come from?
From DataForSEO Labs (Google rankings in your business's market), with the date the data was last updated. Kleos's AI only judges whether a search fits your buyers; it never produces or adjusts a number.
How many competitors can I compare?
Up to 3 on Starter, 5 on Growth and 10 on Pro in one analysis.
What does saving an opportunity do?
It adds a planned article on that topic to your calendar (on your blog schedule) or inside a campaign you choose. Kleos drafts it when you ask, and it goes through your normal review.
